(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to a sexual assault occurrence.

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, at approximately 2:30 am, Renfrew OPP responded to a sexual assault call for service in the Town of Renfrew that occurred during an intimate partner violence incident.

As a result of the investigation, one person was charged with:

• Four counts of assault
• Mischief- Domestic
• Three counts of uttering threats
• Assault cause bodily harm
• Two counts of fail to comply with probation order

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
