(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to an intimate partner violence occurrence.

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at approximately 6:00 pm, Renfrew OPP responded to an assault call for service in the Town of Renfrew that occurred during an intimate partner violence incident.

As a result of the investigation, one person was charged with:

• Two counts of uttering threats
• Assault with a weapon
• Two counts of mischief

The accused was released and is schedule to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke at a later date.
