INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE CHARGES LAID

(PICTON, ON) - The Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to an intimate partner violence incident.

On Monday, November 24, 2025, shortly before 5:30 pm, Prince Edward County OPP responded to reports of an argument that had escalated inside a residence located in Picton, Ontario.

As a result of the investigation, one person was charged with:

• Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm
• Assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate or strangle - three counts
• Assault spousal - four counts

The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
