(WESTPORT, ON) - A man faces more than half a dozen criminal charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, shortly before 10:00 pm, members of the Leeds County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence where a male had refused to leave. The investigation led to the male being arrested.

The accused is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Assault
  • Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence - three counts
  • Mischief - destroy or damage property
  • Criminal harassment - repeatedly communicate
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court

The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville.

In order to safeguard the identity of the victim, the identity of the accused cannot be disclosed.
