(GODERICH, ON) - On July 1st, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Town of Goderich.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against their partner. Additionally, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit.

A 21-year-old individual from Hamilton was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

• Assault - Spousal, - Assault Causing Bodily Harm, - Impaired Operation - Over 80

The accused was processed and later released with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on July 28th, 2025.
