(BAYHAM, ON)  - Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with a criminal offence following an intimate partner dispute.

On Sunday, July 13, 2025, at approximately 12:52 am, members of the Elgin OPP responded to a disturbance at an address in the Municipality of Bayham.

49-year-old of Bayham has been charged under the Criminal Code with Assault - spousal.

The accused was held in custody and appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on Tuesday, July 13, 2025.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
