(DELAWARE NATION AT MORAVIANTOWN, ON)  - Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people with criminal offences following an intimate partner dispute.

On Monday, July 14, 2025, at approximately 9:47 am, members of the Elgin OPP responded to a disturbance at an address on Delaware Nation at Moraviantown.

A 54-year-old individual of Thamesville, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Assault - spousal
• Assault Cause Bodily Harm
• Adult Fail to comply with release order
• Adult Fail to comply with undertaking

The accused was held in custody and appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham on Monday, July 14, 2025.

A 53-year-old individual of Thamesville, has been charged with one count of Mischief under the Criminal Code and released on an undertaking. First appearance is Tuesday September 16, 2025, in Chatham court.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
