Two Criminal Charges Laid
(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - Local resident faces two criminal charges in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.
On June 22, 2025, at approximately 5:45 pm, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address within the Town of Erin.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old of the Town of Erin is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
- Assault with a weapon - spousal
- Assault - spousal
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
