(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) - Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with criminal offences following an intimate partner dispute.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, at approximately 4:26 pm, members of the Elgin OPP responded to a disturbance at an address in the Municipality of Central Elgin.
As a result of the investigation a 33-year-old of Central Elgin has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Assault with a Weapon - Spousal
- Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court
The accused was held in custody and appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
