INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES
(SOUTHWOLD, ON) - One person is charged with assault following an intimate partner dispute in Elgin County.
On Saturday, December 27, 2025, at approximately 2:32 pm, members of the Elgin Ontario Provincial Police responded to a disturbance at an address in the Township of Southwold.
56-year-old individual from Elgin County has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Assault - Spousal
- Uttering threats (two counts)
The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in London on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
