INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATIONS RESULT IN CHARGES

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Three individuals have been charged following two separate intimate partner violence investigations.

On Friday, January 9, 2026, at approximately 7:34 am, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported dispute at a residence in Norfolk County.

The investigation determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction inside the home, during which both parties assaulted one another, and one individual damaged the other’s property. No injuries were reported.

As a result, both individuals were taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following alleged offence is a 36-year-old Norfolk County resident:

  • Assault - spousal

A 38-year-old Norfolk County resident is also facing the following charges:

  • Assault - spousal, - Mischief - destroy or damages property

The accused individuals are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.

On Sunday, January 11, 2026, at approximately 1:50 pm, members of the Norfolk County OPP responded to a reported dispute at a residence in Norfolk County.

The investigation determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction inside the home, during which one individual assaulted the other. Minor injuries were reported.

As a result, one individual was taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following alleged offence is a 52-year-old Norfolk County resident:

  • Assault causing bodily harm - spousal

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
