(BROCKTON, ON) - On September 25, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Brockton.

Investigation determined that a physical altercation took place between two individuals in a wooded area off of South Street in Walkerton. The accused fled on foot but was taken into custody nearby. A search of the individual led to the discovery of approximately 117g of suspected fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with:

• Assault, CC 266
• Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
• Assault cause bodily harm - choking, CC 267(c)
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
