INVESTIGATION BY THE DRYDEN OPP COMMUNITY STREET CRIME UNIT

LEADS TO DRUG CHARGES

(DRYDEN, ON) - Three individuals are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation led by the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Kenora OPP Detachment, the Kenora Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), and the Treaty Three Police Service.

On September 4, 2025, just after to 3:00 pm, a traffic stop was conducted on Anderson Road, in the City of Kenora. The investigation resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of suspected illicit drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and hydromorphone, as well as Canadian currency and other evidence of drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher FLETT, 36-years-old, of Dryden, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - hydromorphone
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

Additionally, Melanie KOLISNIK, 50-years-old, of Kenora, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - hydromorphone
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

Additionally, Stephanie POCIUK, 32-years-old, of Keewatin, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - hydromorphone
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused individuals have been remanded into custody at the Kenora District Jail where they are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 8, 2025.
