JOINT ENFORCEMENT COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE BLITZ IN CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP RESULTS IN NUMEROUS CHARGES


(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON) - On October 23, 2025, members from the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), conducted a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) enforcement blitz in the area of 12-13 Sideroad Nottawasaga and Highway 26, Clearview Township.

Over the course of three hours, six commercial motor vehicles were inspected. As a result, two were removed from service due to significant safety concerns, and a total of 29 charges were laid. Identified violations included insecure loads, brake system defects, overweight vehicles, and improper documentation.

The OPP remains committed in its dedication to traffic safety and will continue participating in initiatives and inspections focused on commercial motor vehicles.
