LAMBTON OPP INVESTIGATING A THEFT FROM RESIDENCE
(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) - The Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a theft from a residence in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.
On December 17, 2025, at approximately 1:45 pm, Lambton OPP responded to a report of a theft from a residence on Hickory Creek Line.
The investigation determined that at approximately 1:15 pm, an unknown individual attended the residence and posed as a worker providing eavestrough services. The individual was invited inside the residence. When the homeowner briefly left the room, the suspect stole $300 in cash from the homeowner’s wallet before leaving the property.
The suspect is described as:
- Male, approximately 45-55 years old
- Approximately 5’5” tall
- Wearing a grey jacket, blue hat, and work boots
The investigation remains ongoing.
- Ask for official identification and proof of employment
- Avoid allowing unknown individuals into your home
- Take time to verify legitimacy of any unsolicited services
- Contact police is something appears suspicious
