LANARK COUNTY OPP INVESTIGATING ROBBERY IN CARLETON PLACE


(CARLETON PLACE, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a robbery in Carleton Place.

Officers were called to a business on McNeely Avenue at approximately 6:20 pm on August 6, 2025, when it was reported that a robbery was taking place. Two men in masks, gloves and using hammers had smashed a display case in the cosmetics department and removed two full bags of cologne and perfume.

 The males fled the store and left in a black BMW bearing Ontario plate DBFT 378 driven by a third person. The vehicle had been reported stolen from the city of Ottawa earlier in the day. A member of the public attempted to stop the suspects as they left and suffered minor injuries. The vehicle fled the area and was last seen northbound on McNeely Avenue

 The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect #1 - male, mask, thin build, wearing a blue NY sweater with white sleeves, gloves, dark jeans torn, black shoes
  • Suspect #2 - male, mask, white hoodie, grey jeans, black shoes
  • Suspect #3 - seated in drivers’ seat, no description
