(PERTH, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after a complaint of indecent acts in the Town of Perth.

On Monday June 9, 2025, police responded to an apartment building in Perth for a report of a suspicious person exposing themself in the hallway. Surveillance video shows that, since May, a man had been repeatedly performing indecent acts while standing in the hall.

As a result of the investigation, Peter ASSELSTINE, 56 years-of-age, of the Town of Perth, has been charged with:

• Criminal harassment - three counts
• Indecent act in public place - two counts

The individual was held custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
