LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY DEATH LEADS TO ARREST
(IROQUOIS FALLS, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested one person in relation to a death at a long-term care facility in the Town of Iroquois Falls.
On Friday, May 23, 2024, the South Porcupine OPP received a report that a resident of a long-term care facility had experienced medical distress following an incident that occurred on Saturday, May 17, 2024. The 93-year-old male had been transported to a local hospital where he died on Saturday, May 24, 2024.
As a result of the investigation, Michelle BIGLOW, 62 years old of Matheson, was arrested and charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, contrary to section 221 of the Criminal Code.
