MISCHIEF INCIDENT IN WILSONVILLE LEADS TO PUBLIC APPEAL FOR SUSPECT IDENTIFICATION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying two individuals in connection with a mischief incident related to an attempted vehicle purchase in Wilsonville.

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, at approximately 1:36 pm, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of mischief on Norfolk County Road 19 East in Wilsonville.

The investigation revealed that at approximately 10:00 am that same day, two unidentified individuals attended a residence in response to an online advertisement for a vehicle listed for sale. Both were described as having a brown complexion and accents, medium builds, dark moustaches, and wearing hats.

Further investigation determined that one suspect distracted the vehicle owner while the other tampered with the vehicle, causing it to smoke. The suspects then attempted to convince the owner to sell the vehicle “as is” at a much lower price, but the owner declined.

Following the interaction, the suspects left the area in a white Ford Fusion sedan.

Police also believe the suspects may be canvassing online buy-and-sell platforms, targeting multiple vehicle listings in a given area before attending.
