(DRYDEN, ON) - On August 17th, 2025 at approximately 08:45 pm, the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle that spun out and hit the ditch on Highway 601 near Morton Road.

The officers attended and demanded a breath sample from the driver into an approved screening device (ASD). The driver participated and registered a FAIL which led to the driver’s arrest & returned to the detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Abby BELL, 20, from Dryden was charged with:

• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on September 22nd, 2025.
