MOTORCYCLE RIDER INJURED IN COLLISION NEAR KINGSTON

(AMHERSTVIEW, ON) - A motorcycle rider has suffered serious injuries in a collision west of Kingston.

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, shortly after 1:30 pm, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a fast-moving motorcycle traveling eastbound on Bath Road. Shortly after that another call was received reporting that the same motorcycle had been involved in a collision.

When officers from the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment arrived, they learned that the motorcycle had collided with a car at the intersection of Bath Road and Westfield Road.

The male was transported to hospital by Frontenac Paramedics with injuries that have been determined to be serious but not life-threatening.

The roadway was closed until 11:00 pm to allow for the on-scene investigation, which is continuing with assistance from an OPP Collision Reconstructionist.

The OPP can confirm that the injured individual is wanted in connection with unrelated matters. Plain clothed officers were present in the area at the time but disengaged prior to the collision due to safety concerns regarding the motorcycle rider’s driving.

Both the collision investigation and unrelated criminal investigation are continuing.
