(SOUTH STORMONT TWP, ON) - A motorcycle rider has died after colliding with an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that was parked on a roadway.

On Friday, June 20, 2025, just after 10:00 pm, officers with the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded the scene on County Road 11, southeast of Chesterville.

The initial investigation has found that a motorcycle was eastbound when it collided with an ATV that had been parked on the roadway.

A passerby performed CPR on the motorcycle rider until Cornwall-SDG Paramedics arrived on the scene and began life-saving measures. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as a 40-year-old male who had been staying in the North Grenville area. His family has been notified.

The investigation, by SD&G OPP and Technical Collision Investigators with the OPP’s East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team, is continuing.
