(PEMBROKE, ON.) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested three people following an incident near the downtown area of Pembroke.

On October 10, 2025, just before 7:00 pm, OPP officers responded to a report of a gunshot on Victoria St. in the City of Pembroke. Police contained the residence and due to seriousness police took appropriate safety measures. The homeowner was called out of the residence. Police then entered the residence and located three other individuals who were detained. No injuries were reported or observed.

Two of the individuals detained were arrested on outstanding warrants. A third person was arrested for failing to comply with a release order. The fourth party was interviewed and released unconditionally. The investigation is still ongoing.

One party was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date. Two others remain in custody. They will appear by video before a Justice of the Peace on October 11, 2025.
