(BANCROFT, ON) - The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person following a disturbance in the town of Bancroft.

On Monday, October 6, 2025, shortly after 12:30 pm, officers were made aware of an assault that had occurred at a local business. Upon further investigation officers learned of several historical incidents with the parties involved.

As a result, Stanley WANNAMAKER, 67, of Bancroft has been charged with the following:

• Uttering threats - 4 counts
• Criminal harassment - 2 counts
• Assault

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on November 4, 2025.
