(ADJALA-TOSORONTIO, ON) -The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing its investigation into a vehicle fire that resulted in one fatality in Adjala-Tosorontio Township.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, shortly after 1:30 pm, officers responded to a report of a vehicle fire on County Road 50. One individual was located deceased at the scene. County Road 50 was closed in both directions between Highway 89 and 30th Sideroad and reopened at approximately 8:00 pm

Based on preliminary findings, the incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no threat to public safety. The investigation is being conducted by the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

The OPP thanks the public for their cooperation during the investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
