(ESSA, ON) - The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a robbery that occurred late Tuesday evening in Essa Township.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at approximately 11:33 pm, officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at a Gas Station located at 309 Mill Street, Essa Township.

Initial investigation revealed that one male suspect entered the business armed with a knife and stole a quantity of money and a case of beer before fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as:

• Approximately 5’8” tall, thin build
• Wearing grey pants, a dark sweater with a brown hood, dark-coloured shoes, and a black mask
• Carrying a black shopping bag
• Armed with a small pocket knife
