NOTTAWASAGA OPP INVESTIGATING A STOLEN VEHICLE-PUBLIC REQUEST FOR VIDEO FOOTAGE


(ESSA ON) - Officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating the theft of a pickup truck from a residential property in Essa Township.

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at approximately 7:20 am, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Nottawasaga Drive, in the Township of Essa.

Preliminary investigation suggests a white 2024 Toyota Tundra with an Ontario Plate #BZ13420, had been stolen overnight from the residential driveway. Officers observed broken glass on the driveway, indicating forced entry. The vehicle was equipped with a tracking device, that was located in the area 385 Centre Street.

Surveillance footage obtained shows a suspect SUV arriving at approximately 1:10 am Two individuals wearing hoodies exited the vehicle while a third remained inside. One suspect broke the driver’s side window of the pickup truck, and the other entered the vehicle with an unknown device. The vehicle left the driveway at approximately 1:18 am

The suspect vehicle appears to be an SUV with no further description. The suspects are described as three unknown males or females wearing hoodies.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking residents and businesses in the area of Nottawasaga Drive, and Centre Street in Angus to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity or footage of the stolen vehicle between 1:00 am and 2:00 am on September 23, 2025.
