NOTTAWASAGA OPP INVESTIGATING THEFT OF ALCOHOL IN NEW TECUMSETH
(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) - On November 17, 2025, shortly before 4:30 pm, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft at 36 Young Street in the Town of New Tecumseth.
Two male suspects entered the store and were observed by staff selecting various products from the display and concealing them in bags pulled from their jackets. The suspects then exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items, despite efforts by staff to advise them that payment was required.
Video surveillance obtained shows:
- Suspect 1 described as: Male, -30-40 years old, medium build, approximately 5’9”, 150 lbs, brown eyes, short black hair, beard; wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket, checkered shirt, grey pants, and white running shoes
- Suspect 2 described as: Male, 30-40 years old, medium build, approximately 5’10”, 160 lbs, brown eyes, short black hair, beard; wearing a black jacket, dark grey pants, and black running shoes
The stolen property includes 12 bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch, 6 bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label, 2 bottles of Johnnie Walker Double Black, 6 bottles of Chivas Regal 12-Year Scotch Whisky, and two bottles of Johnnie Walker Red Label. The total estimated value of the stolen items is approximately $3,000.
