NOTTAWASAGA OPP SEEK HELP IDENTIFYING A THEFT SUSPECT


(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) - Officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a series of thefts from motor vehicles and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect.

On October 6, 2025, Nottawasaga OPP responded to multiple reports of overnight vehicle break-ins at residential properties along the 11th Line in the Town of New Tecumseth. Several items were reported stolen, including passports, citizenship cards, debit and credit cards, health cards, SIN cards, driver’s licences, sunglasses, a purse, a Canada Post ID badge, and keys.

Video surveillance from a nearby gas station captured a male suspect entering the store at approximately 7:28 am that morning and purchasing $248 worth of prepaid gift cards using one of the stolen debit cards.

Suspect Description:

  • Male
  • Medium build
  • Dark skin
  • Wearing a red hat, sunglasses, black T-shirt, black pants, and white Crocs

A white four-door BMW 328 bearing a stolen Ontario licence plate (CTJH 677) was observed fleeing the scene but has not yet been located by police.
