ONE ARRESTED FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING
(QUINTE WEST, ON) - The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid impaired driving charges after a traffic stop.
On Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 7:30 pm, the Quinte West OPP conducted a traffic stop, the driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
Joshua MADDIGAN, age 39, from Frankford, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood drug concentration
- Possession of schedule I substance - Cocaine
- Driving a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
- Drive motor vehicle without insurance
- Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on January 22, 2026.
