(PERTH, ON) - Police have arrested one individual following multiple property crimes in Perth, Huron, Wellington, Oxford, Stratford, and Waterloo Region.

Throughout the month of September 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Stratford Police Service investigated several property crimes.

On September 23, 2025, members of the Perth County OPP along with the Community Street Crime Unit, located a stolen vehicle, in the town of Listowel, North Perth. The driver attempted to flee on foot however they were taken into custody without incident.

As a result, police charged 22-year-old, Tyler STANLEY, of West Perth with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (Three Counts)
  • Theft Over $5,000 (Two Counts)
  • Operation while Prohibited
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused has been held in custody following an appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Stratford on September 24, 2025. Additionally, Stratford Police Service has charged the accused with multiple offences in relation to incidents that occurred in their jurisdiction.

Detachment Commander Inspector Tyler Stewart added “This is another example of the excellent work from our Community Street Crimes Unit and Perth County Detachment members to ensure the suspect was arrested safely. Our commitment to solving property crimes and keeping our communities safe remains a priority in Perth County.”
