ONE PERSON CHARGED AFTER AN INTIMATE PARTNER INVESTIGATION
(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - Police arrested and charged one person after responding to an intimate partner investigation.
On Friday November 28, 2025, at approximately 3:55 pm, the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance between two intimate partners at a residence in West Nipissing.
Information was provided to police about pass intimate partner violence, in which one person was assaulted that had required medical attention, property was damaged, and a threat was made by the other partner.
As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old person, from Norfolk, was arrested and charged with:
- Uttering threats
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Assault
- Mischief - two counts
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, in North Bay.
The OPP will not be releasing the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victims.
