(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) - East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrest person after altercation in grocery store parking lot.

On June 10, 2025, at approximately 1:00 pm the complainant noticed that their vehicle was hit by a vehicle parked next to it. The vehicle owner was spoke to and verbal argument ensued. The vehicle owner then escalated matters when he retrieved a baseball bat from his vehicle and threatened the complainant. They departed prior to police arrival but was later arrested.

Casey FOURNIER, 55-years-old, of Elliot Lake, was charged with:

• Assault with a weapon
• Failure to stop after accident
• Driving while under suspension - two counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on August 14, 2025.
