(WALPOLE ISLAND FIRST NATION, ON) - Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assist following a boating collision.

On July 12, 2025, at approximately 2:15 pm, emergency services including members of the Lambton County OPP, Walpole Island Police Service, Chatham-Kent Police Service, Emergency Medical Services, Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), and the Canadian Coast Guard responded to the report of a two-vessel collision on the Johnston River, near Johnston Bay, Walpole Island First Nation.

As a result of the collision, four individuals were assisted to shore by nearby boaters. All four were subsequently transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
