OPP CHARGE DRIVER WITH REFUSAL AT LOCAL BUSINESS


(PEMBROKE, ON.) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with refusal after a complaint at a local business.

On September 22, 2025, just before 4:30 pm, OPP officers were called to a local business on Pembroke St. east in the City of Pembroke. Police located the vehicle and spoke to the driver.  

Lacy GEORGE, 41 years old, of Wallaceburg was charged with refusal to comply with demand.

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. They were released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on October 21, 2025.
