OPP ENCOURAGES ANYONE WITH INFORMATION TO COME FORWARD FOLLOWING SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATION
(ORILLIA, ON) - The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crime Unit has charged one individual in relation to a sexual assault investigation.
On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, police began an investigation into a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the City of Orillia.
As a result of this investigation, Chris BRONSON, 43-years-old, employed by the Orillia Youth Centre for the last 15 years, has been charged with the following offences:
- Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 18 yrs of age
- Sexual Exploitation
- Sexual Assault
- Luring a Person under 18 years of age by means of Telecommunication
The accused has been arrested and subsequently held for bail.
