(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) - One person was charged following a drug investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a business in the Municipality of Central Elgin.

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, at approximately 12:40 pm, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant for a business in the village of Port Stanley. The warrant was executed with the assistance from Oxford/Brant CSCU, Emergency Response Team, West Region Provincial Liaison Team, and Elgin OPP members.

As a result of the investigation Thomas JACKSON, 50-years-old of Stoney Point was charged under the Cannabis Act with Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling.

The accused has been released with the first appearance date of Monday, January 5, 2026, at the St. Thomas Court house.
