OPP EXECUTED SEARCH WARRANT RESULTS IN CHARGES
(WEST ELGIN, ON) - One person was charged following a mischief investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a home in the Municipality of West Elgin.
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin Major Crime Unit executed a search warrant for a residence in the Municipality of West Elgin. The warrant was executed with the assistance from Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit and the Elgin Bail Support Team.
As a result of the investigation Daniel OVECKA, 34-years-old of West Elgin was charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Mischief - destroys or damages property (two counts)
- Breach of Recognizance
The accused has been released with the first appearance date of Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the St. Thomas Court house.
