(MALAHIDE, ON)  A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a pick-up truck in the Township of Malahide.

On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at approximately 3:06 pm, Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Malahide Fire and Madavie Elgin Emergency Medical Services responded to a two-vehicle collision on Springfield Road in Maladhide.

A 16-year-old from Malahide was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and charged with the following Highway Traffic Act offences:

• Fail to yield to traffic on through highway
• Drive motor vehicle - improper licence
• Drive motor vehicle, no plates and
• Fail to surrender insurance card (Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act)

The driver of the pickup truck, a 63-year-old of the Municipality of Bayham was uninjured.
