OPP INVESTIGATE A SERIOUS COLLISION IN CENTRAL ELGIN


(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON)  Two people were injured after a serious collision on Quaker Road in the Municipality of Central Elgin.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, at approximately 12:57 pm, Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Central Elgin Fire and Elgin Emergency Medical Services responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and sedan at the intersection of Quaker Road and Southdale Line.

The passenger of the sedan was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the sedan was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.

OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team is assisting with the investigation.

The surrounding roads will be closed for several hours during the investigation.
