(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON)  Two people were injured after a serious collision on Belmont Road in the Municipality of Central Elgin.

On Friday, November 28, 2025, at approximately 8:25 pm, Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Central Elgin Fire and Elgin Emergency Medical Services responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a Pick-up truck and an SUV at the intersection of Belmont Road and Ron McNeil Line.

The driver of the SUV, a 39-year-old from London was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Pick-up truck, a 70-year-old from Central Elgin was also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The surrounding roads were closed for several hours during the investigation but are now open.
