(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON)  One person was injured after a serious collision on Sunset Drive in Central Elgin

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, at approximately 3:04 pm, Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Central Elgin Fire and Medavie Elgin Emergency Medical Services responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and sport utility vehicle (SUV) on Sunset Drive.

The rider, a 27-year-old of St. Thomas who was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV, a 61-year-old of London sustained minor injuries.

Sunset Drive was closed for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.

The investigation is continuing.
