OPP INVESTIGATE A THREE VEHICLE COLLISION


(THAMES CENTRE, ON)  - Five people taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a three-vehicle collision on Highway 401, eastbound lanes in the Municipality of Thames Centre.

On Friday, August 15, 2025, at approximately 8:04 am, Thames Centre Fire, Middlesex Emergency Services (EMS) and Oxford EMS along with Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to the collision on Highway 401 between Elgin Road and Putnam Road.

The collision involved two pick up trucks and a sport utility vehicle. The sport utility vehicle rear ended the two pick up trucks that were waiting to merge in a construction zone.

48-year-old male from London was taken to a local hospital.

Four males 19 to 20 years old from Wisconsin were taken to a local hospital. One of these males were extricated by fire.

All three eastbound lanes were closed for approximately two hours.

Middlesex OPP continue to investigate the collision.
