(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - Members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an arson in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 5:16 am, the South Bruce OPP and Arran-Elderslie Fire & Emergency Services attended a residence in Burgoyne for an active structure fire. Officers determined that the fire had been deliberately set by an individual who was still on scene. They were taken into custody without incident.

The South Bruce OPP Crime Unit is engaged and are investigating the matter as an arson. Updates will be made when available.
