(PICTON, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an incident in Picton that has left one person with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Friday, October 24, 2025, at approximately 11:15 pm, officers from the OPP Prince Edward County Detachment responded to a report of an assault with a weapon outside a convenience store on Paul Street.
The victim was transported to a regional trauma centre for treatment. The injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Two individuals were arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in custody and are scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by members of the Prince Edward County OPP, the Prince Edward County Crime Unit, and the OPP Forensic Identification Services.
