(PICTON, ON) - Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a motor vehicle collision.

On June 1st, 2025, around 5:00 pm, officers responded alongside, Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue and Hastings Quinte EMS to a two vehicle collision near the intersection of Picton Main Street and Johnson Street. The collision involved a vehicle and motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a nearby trauma centre by ambulance, with serious injuries.

The roadway was closed for a period of time while the Technical Collision Investigation Team investigated. The investigation is continuing.

All roads were reopened shortly before midnight.
