(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision near Simcoe.
On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at approximately 3:11 pm, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside Norfolk County Paramedic Services and the Norfolk County Fire Department, responded to a three-vehicle collision involving a cement truck, sedan, and sport utility vehicle (SUV) at the intersection of Concession 13 Townsend and Blueline Road, just outside of Simcoe.
As a result, the driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old resident of Norfolk County, sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of the cement truck and sedan, along with the sedan’s passenger, were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Concession 13 Townsend, between Culver Road and Cockshutt Road, and Blueline Road, between Concession 12 Townsend and Concession 14 Townsend, were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
