(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) - Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Ingersoll.
At approximately 5:10 am on Monday, June 9, 2025, members of the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford County Paramedic Services, and the Oxford County Fire Department responded to a collision involving a train and a pedestrian on Mutual Street North in Ingersoll.
As a result, the pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Additional details about the individual are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Mutual Street North (between Carnegie Street and Wilson Street) and Thames Street South (between Carnegie Street and Oxford Lane) were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
