(RENFREW, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision on Burnstown Road in, which led to a temporary closure of the roadway in both directions between Calabogie Road and Fraser Road Road. The highway has since reopened.

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, at approximately 2:00 am, members of the Renfrew Detachment of the OPP responded to a serious single motor vehicle collision. The driver a 39-year-old male from Ottawa, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist attended the scene, alongside emergency crews. The investigation remains ongoing.
