(ERIN, ON) - The Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is currently investigating a single-vehicle collision involving a utility task vehicle (UTV) that has left one person deceased.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at approximately 12:15 am, the OPP responded to reports of a serious collision involving a UTV carrying four passengers that had overturned at the intersection of Sideroad 10 at Eighth Line in Erin.
The deceased has been identified as a 19-year-old male from Burlington. The three other passengers did not suffer any injuries.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, Julian CONNELL, a 20-year-old of Erin, was charged with:
- Young driver Blood Alcohol Content above zero
- Operation causing death
- Dangerous operation causing death
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice in Guelph on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
